HR Business Partner – Warehouse & Distribution Operations
Human Factor is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our client's warehouse and distribution operations. In this role, you'll be the go-to HR partner for warehouse leadership and frontline teams, helping drive a high-performance, safe, and engaged workplace across a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is a hands-on role, you'll spend significant time on the warehouse floor, building relationships with supervisors, shift leads, and associates, while also partnering with senior operations leaders on workforce strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary HR point of contact for warehouse operations, supporting multiple shifts and a large hourly workforce
Partner with warehouse and operations leaders on workforce planning, headcount, and staffing needs during peak and non-peak seasons
Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
Guide people managers on performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
Support recruitment and onboarding efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition, especially for high-volume hourly hiring
Drive employee engagement initiatives tailored to warehouse/frontline populations
Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and company policies within the warehouse environment
Analyse HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, engagement) and recommend data-driven interventions
Partner with Safety/EHS teams on incident follow-up and workplace safety culture
Support compensation reviews, job evaluations, and pay equity initiatives for hourly roles
Requirements
3–6+ years of HR generalist or HRBP experience, ideally supporting warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations
Strong knowledge of employee relations, labour law, and HR compliance requirements
Experience supporting a large, multi-shift hourly workforce
Comfortable working on the warehouse floor and building trust with frontline employees and supervisors
Solid data and analytical skills, comfortable pulling and interpreting HR metrics
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
