Senior Financial Accountant
Human Factor is seeking, on behalf of a client, a Senior Financial Accountant.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant will take full ownership of the finance function for a single legal entity. Acting as the sole in-house finance professional, this role combines end-to-end accounting with financial control, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by delivering accurate financial reporting, meaningful business insights, and robust financial planning, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance and financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the finance function for a single legal entity, managing all accounting and financial reporting activities
Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and executive reporting packs
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Deliver insightful financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance monitoring to support strategic and operational decision-making
Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital
Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate tax reporting with external accounting and tax advisors
Ensure compliance with Greek GAAP, IFRS, and all statutory and regulatory requirements
Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and financial reporting tools
Partner closely with senior stakeholders within the family office, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data across systems
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in accounting and finance
Proven experience operating in a broad finance role with ownership of the full accounting cycle and financial reporting
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting
Strong commercial understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key business performance drivers
Proven ability to deliver meaningful financial analysis and variance reporting to support business decision-making
Strong technical knowledge of Greek GAAP and IFRS
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis
Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central
Experience with Xero (preferred)
Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
Fluency in English
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
What We Offer
Gross annual package: €50,000-56,000 based on experience
