Human Factor is seeking on behalf of a client - a modern online learning platform - a Data Science Specialist. The selected professional will bridge the gap between data and decision-making. They will be responsible for extracting, cleaning, analysing and visualising data, using both Excel and Python, and translating findings into compelling stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean and preprocess datasets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and usability
  
• Perform exploratory data analysis, build visualisations and summarise findings for stakeholders
  
• Use Python (and libraries such as pandas, matplotlib/seaborn) and advanced Excel functions to support data-driven decision-making
  
• Develop statistical models, simulations or scenario-analysis to forecast outcomes and optimise strategies
  
• Present insights in clear, compelling reports and dashboards—tailored for executive, operational and technical audiences
  
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand questions, define metrics and deliver actionable answers
  
• Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics to improve processes, reduce costs or reveal new growth levers
  
• Stay current with data science trends, tools and best practices, and bring innovative methods into our toolkit
  

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related field
  
• Completion of a structured data-science training program or equivalent self-taught curriculum with project experience
  
• Good command of data manipulation in Excel
  
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualisation
  
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and modelling
  
• Strong communication skills – able to turn numbers into stories and recommendations
  
• Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a drive to learn and hone new skills
  
• Comfortable working in a hybrid/fast-paced environment and managing multiple analytic requests
